Randal Charlton – Author
Randal Charlton is the son of Warwick Charlton. He lived the first half of his life in England, and moved to the United States in 1987, bringing with him a passion for education that he shares with his father, the subject of this biography. He has had a long and varied career in journalism and business. In 2011, he was winner of a national Purpose Prize in the USA for his work in helping to rebuild the Detroit economy. In 2007, he won the National Heimlich award for medical research. He has been recognized as an Entrepreneur of the Year, and won three national prizes in the U.K. for technical journalism.

He was born in England, where he spent his early years but moved to the United States in 1983. He shares his father’s affection for the United States and has lived and worked in Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Texas and Michigan.
He counts Detroit as his favorite city. He is committed to helping to implement his father’s Mayflower goal of establishing Anglo American scholarships.
