September 16, 1620 – one of the most well known dates in history. On 16th September 1620, the Pilgrims departed Plymouth, England, aboard the Mayflower for a new life in America.

Historians and descendants of the Mayflower will remember this day with discussions about the courage and conditions that prompted a small group of individuals to leave their homes and country to find a new life in a new world.
