MAYFLOWER 1620
It started in 1620 with a ship – the Mayflower. Small, sturdy, untested.
400 years later its story continues to be told.
When the ship landed at the tip of Cape Cod after 60 days on the open ocean, its passengers were cold, tired and frustrated. Winter was approaching with all its dangers. What would they do?
United by a desire for just and equal laws for the general good, they seized the day with pens drawn rather than swords. The result was a document now called the Mayflower Compact.
