WGCH Radio – “The Voice of Fairfield and Westchester Counties” – spoke with PROJECT MAYFLOWER author Richard Stone about his Greenwich Cos Cob Library Author Talk. He was interviewed by News Director Tony Savio.
Harry Hornblower, descendant of Mayflower Compact signer Steven Hopkins, and Founder of the Plimoth Patuxet Museums (formerly Plimoth Plantation), in Plymouth, Massachusetts, had deep family ties to Greenwich and Fairfield County, which Richard Stone described to Tony Savino, News Director, WGCH Radio.
Stone also touched on the connection between Mayflower II’s entrance into New York Harbor in 1957 and the origins of Operation Sail, the inspiration for Sail 4th 250 New York this coming July 4, 2026.
Stone will speak at the Greenwich Cos Cob Library on Monday, May 18, at 6:30 pm.
