SUEZ CRISIS

SUEZ CRISIS and MAYFLOWER II

The Suez Crisis of 1956 changed the world.  It had little relevance to the Americans until 2026 when its memory resurfaced.

It was caused by a war of choice that stopped the flow of oil to Europe, fractured the USA/Europe bond, and caused new thinking about war.

Britain, France and Israel began a Middle Eastern war of choice in 1956 when they attacked Egypt and demanded control of the Suez Canal, the vital waterway connecting the Europe to Arabia.

Within weeks, the Soviet Union invaded Hungary to crush a democratic movement.  That nation is adjacent to Ukraine.

The “Special Relationship” between America and England was thrown into the trash.  The world watched the two great pillars of democracy stumbled.

To resolve that crisis, Mayflower II was called into diplomatic service.

PROJECT MAYFLOWER by Richard Stone describes this remarkable series of events.

The book has been highly praised and is distributed by Simon & Schuster.
